Travel Grant to Attend Society of American Archivists 2011 Annual Meeting
To encourage the professional development of its members, the Delaware Valley Archivists Group is pleased to provide $500 toward attendance by one member at the Society of American Archivists (SAA) Annual Meeting to be held this August in Chicago. DVAG is particularly interested in supporting first-time SAA conference attendance by non-student members, but all interested members are encouraged to apply.
Eligibility and Requirements
All current members of DVAG are eligible to apply with the exception of the planning committee. The grant must be used to attend the Society of American Archivists (SAA) annual meeting in Chicago this summer. Funds may be used toward expenses for main meeting registration, accommodation, transportation, and meals. Funds may not be used for pre-conference programs, tours, or leisure activities.
The winner must submit expense receipts to DVAG’s Treasurer to get reimbursed. Given the limited funds, we will encourage the winner to take advantage of early bird registration, which normally ends in early July.
Reimbursement is limited to $500. While we recognize that $500 will not pay all expenses for most attendees, we hope that it will make conference attendance easier for the winner.
Deadline to apply is June 1, 2011. Recipient will be notified June 15, 2011.
